NEW YEAR'S EVE & VICTORY

We spent our new year's eve at the Punggol East Countdown party to support Afiq and the rest of the Crescendo boys, at their Talent Mania finals! The show was hosted by Mediacorp artiste Mark Lee and graced by Taufik Batisah & HADY MIRZA!!! He's so cute. I like. Just read on to find out the results of the Talent Mania....

Daniel's comcard pictures are finally released! His picture is offically hanging on the wall of the model agency studio! So proud of you Daniel! (':

Me with the flowers we prepared for our favourite contestants (; Afiq had actually seen the flowers before he was supposed to & I had to lie to him that they were flowers give to Anna by her boyfriend. HAHAHA.

Danica & I wih DANIA! Ex-squad members, if you're still reading my blog, I swear to god, the squad had NO SINGERS as compared to her. She blows the audience away with every song she sings. Seriously, no joke. I should upload the video soon. You'll be BLOWN. AWAY. I would've never known Singapore had such talent like her until I heard her. My god.....

Okay then the boys finally came out to the side of the stage after their performance!

CRESCENDO was the only one whom Mark Lee was interested in their individual names! Also, out of the 10 contestants, Crescendo was the only one Mark Lee stopped before they left the stage to say how fantastic they were! Trust me, the other 10 contestants were amazing as well (like seriously, where were all these freaking amazing singers & dancers hiding before when we were saying how Singapore had no talents?!?!? I feel bad now for judging before I saw everything Singapore had to offer. The most amazing talents were either hiding or just did not have oppotunities to shine due to the vigourous education system. On top of that, we also judged rather quickly right after we saw only a part of Singapore which happened to be an untalented bunch. Lesson learned.), I guess what made Crescendo at a higher level than the other contestants was that they could harmonize their voices so well, which isn't a very easy task at all. They were so amazing, they didn't have to move about the stage to make it more entertaining like the other contestants did. All they had to do was stand there & their voiced filled the air melodiously. It was amazing.

THEN THE CLOCK STRUCK TWELVE & THE FIREWORKS CAME!

But guess what. YI WEI insisted that for fireworks, the camera should be on slow shutter/long exposure blahblahblah. I told him to just use auto like I always do, but NOOOOO, Yi Wei always knows best ah! Look what happened to the picture. It looks like a fire explosion instead of fireworks. The fireworks display was GORGEOUS and 5 WHOLE MINTUTES LONG but I did not find a SINGLE good shot in the camera when I got home. #&&%#%!!!!

Anyway, it was so surreal, so amazing, watching the gorgeous display of fireworks right above our heads, going into the new year with my bestfriends with me...I want you guys to be with me for countless more new years. ♥

Okay so after the fireworks & it was officially 2012, Taufik Batisah came out to perform! Check out this really cool shot I took of him. :D

THEN, they announced the winners of the 2011 Talent Mania. Danica, Daniel & I were waiting anxiously at the side of the stage. Mark Lee & the other female host (not sure who she is) kept dragging the suspense on purpose! Tsk. Typical show hosts. Ok so then, they announced the top 3, indicating that these three would either be in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. When they announced that Crescendo was in the top 3, Danica & I SCREAMED. Shafiq's cousin was beside me and though I didn't even know her name, we were so excited at the indication that Crescendo was either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in place, we screamed like crazy fangirls and hugged each other. O_O Hahaha! We were all cheering on our loved ones that the excitement took over! It was amazing!

1ST PLACE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

And gosh, I thought Afiq had already improved during Teen Supreme, but you guys should hear him NOW! Afiq had a part in the song (Flying Without Wings) where he had a big belting line...Danica, Daniel & I sat on our seats with our mouths hung open. After 2 seconds of shock, we were like, "DID THAT VOICE COME FROM AFIQ?! OMG IT DID!!!" *screams of pride* The audience also screamed & were like "WHOOOO!!". Amazing!! Love that amazing baffoon. He works hard & never gives up, no matter what people have told him in the past. Look at him now. Despite how some people have told him that he isn't good, he worked hard everyday and he is now literally a champion. I'm so bloody proud to have a bestfriend like that. ♥

They were then invited to perform once again as winners! (': That was the point of time I started tearing up of happiness. What a freaking amazing way to start the new year. (': ♥
